Bavarian sensor manufacturers are predominantly SMEs located in the regions of Munich, Nuremberg and Regensburg.  Additionally, over the past ten years Nuremberg has gained a name as trade fair venue for highly specialized sensorics, electronics and IT trade fairs.

Power Electronics
The Nuremberg Region has formed a unique cluster for power electronics in Europe with 200 companies operating in research and development, production and sales, trade and services. The industry cluster is comprised of 42,000 employees and 12,500 employees directly assigned to the power electronics value added chain.  The Nuremberg Region offers expertise in all levels of the power electronics value creation chain, access to markets, location and node for regional, national an international networks, training and research environment, know-how potential.
