TOP 100 study distinguishes Bavarian company as "Innovator of 2007"
Bavaria is the Number One region for small and medium-sized businesses"– Deutscher Elite-Mittelstandspreis der Union Mittelständischer Unternehmen e.V. - but also the comparison study Top 100 put them at the top of the league. In the TOP 100 comparison study which is carried out throughout Germany for all sectors of the industry 22 Bavarian small and medium-sized businesses ranked among the top 100 companies; rose plastic GmbH from Hergensweiler near Lindau was distinguished as "Innovator of 2007" and also winner in the "Innovative conditions" category.
It was not only the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, Huber, who praised Bavarian SMEs when receiving the 2007 UMU award for the mid-sized business sector
Every year in this comparative study Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke of the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration examines the innovation performance of mid-sized companies. Besides innovation success he also examines the innovative conditions, the innovative processes and organization, the innovation-friendly top management as well as innovation marketing. The packaging specialist rose plastic GmbH made a particularly positive impression through the successful and sustained entrenchment of the innovation concept in its business culture.
Besides rose plastic GmbH there are two other Bavarian companies in the Top Ten of this study. The largest share of the Bavarian companies operate in the mechanical engineering sector, but the list also includes companies from the automotive, electrical engineering and consumer goods sectors.
