Bavaria’s Economics Minister Zeil at the opening ceremony of 37 grad dialog GmbH in Amberg

MUNICH / AMBERG  The dialog marketing services provider 37 grad dialog GmbH – a subsidiary of defacto call center GmbH – officially opened its new premises in Amberg yesterday. Back in April, the company had decided to set up a new, ultra-modern call center in Amberg. At the opening ceremony, Bavaria’s Minister of Economic Affairs, Martin Zeil, praised the company’s investment decision: “This recruitment of 37 grad dialog GmbH shows that Bavaria is still a top location for the call center industry even in difficult economic times. 75 new jobs have already been created in Amberg since the firm commenced business operations in June 2009.” The investment was therefore sending out a signal to the whole region and the Upper Palatinate.

In the long term, the number of people employed by 37 grad dialog GmbH in Amberg is expected to rise to as many as 400. “That is all the more remarkable at a time, when some companies in the call center sector are looking for low-cost sites. I am therefore delighted that the defacto Group and its youngest subsidiary is showing such loyalty to Bavaria”, commented Economics Minister Zeil. Jutta Birzer, the Managing Director of 37 grad dialog, underscored the advantages offered by the Amberg site: “Right from the start we were made to feel welcome at Amberg and the local authorities have given us a great deal of support. But most important of all, we can find here the well-qualified labor force we need for our premium  call center.”

37 grad dialog GmbH was set up in March 2009 and exclusively manages key accounts. From its premises in Amberg, the specially trained staff have since June been answering telephone calls from customers of a nation-wide energy supplier. The company is a subsidiary of defacto call center GmbH in Erlangen. defacto call center GmbH operates at several sites in Bavaria and has already received a number of distinctions, for example the ‘Großer Preis des Mittelstandes’, an award for small and medium-sized businesses.
