Five minutes with… Robert Mock of InnoSenT GmbH
Once considered to be a relic of the glory days of aerospace, radar has become daily life’s great enablers. Radar-based sensors open our doors and turn on our lights for us. They tell how fast we are running – and driving. They make us better parkers. By reporting on train speed, building intrusion, amount of rain and snowfall, the sensors make the world a much safer place.
That radar has become such a ubiquitous part of daily life is largely thanks to InnoSenT GmbH, which was founded in 1999 by Robert Mock and Wolfgang Weidmann to exploit the trove of innovations garnered at the University of Würzburg. Today, the company, which is headquartered in the lower Franconian town of Donnersdorf, is the world leader in the field.
