Bavaria's Economics Minister Zeil sees opportunities for Bavarian environmental technology companies from the Climate Summit in Copenhagen
MUNICH Martin Zeil, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, comments as follows on the occasion of the Climate Summit in Copenhagen: "The Climate Summit is showing that environmental protection offers great opportunities for Bavarian industry. International demand for future-oriented environmental technologies from the State of Bavaria is higher than ever." This was demonstrated by the strong response registered by communal Bavarian stands at environmental fairs round the world. And the number of exhibiting firms from Bavaria had also increased substantially, the Minister added.
This year, Bavaria was represented on ten communal stands at the most important environmental exhibitions in a number of different countries, including REW in Istanbul with 15 exhibitors as well as Poleko, Poland’s largest trade fair for environmental technology and renewable energies, in Poznan. At this fair, Poland’s Minister of the Environment, Prof. Dr. Maciej Nowicki, distinguished UTP Umwelttechnik Pöhnl GmbH from Seybothenreuth for its innovations. Last week, Bavarian companies operating in the fields of alternative energies, water treatment and waste management took part at Pollutec in Paris for the sixth time.
Leading fairs in Western European countries like France, Italy and Spain will also be included in the 2010 program of trade fairs with a Bavarian communal stand. In addition to financial support from the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Bayern International also helps companies with the organizational formalities. The 'Bavaria - Fit for Partnership' Program offers targeted coaching and training for small and medium-sized companies operating in the fields of environmental technology as well as marketing & sales.
