Bavarian Vice Minister of Economic Affairs, Sackmann, visits the HANNOVER FAIR / Focus on clusters and energy efficiency

Sackmann: „Bavarian companies exhibit production efficiency and innovative strength"

MUNICH / HANOVER Bavaria shows its colors at the HANOVER FAIR: this year there are again many companies from the State of Bavaria represented at booths of the world’s largest industrial fair. The Bavarian Vice Minister of Economic Affairs, Sackmann, was positively impressed by Bavaria’s "white and blue" presence during his visit to the fair: "The HANOVER FAIR is an excellent platform for our industry to demonstrate its world-wide competitive production efficiency and innovative strength. Our companies and institutions give a powerful display, underscoring Bavaria’s leading position in innovation and new technologies."

As technology event the HANOVER FAIR provides a superb network for innovations. "Here you can actually see how clusters develop. Research projects and concrete applications meet at the HANOVER FAIR and inspire each other. I am convinced that the fair is particularly beneficial to small and medium-sized businesses." Sackmann commented after the opening of the joint booth of ‚Bayern Innovativ’, where there is also a presentation of research projects on revolutionary materials, among other things.

As was also the case at the CeBIT, the topic of energy efficiency also plays a key role at the HANOVER FAIR. Vice Minister Sackmann gathered information on the great potential for the industry. „In talks with experts I was informed that companies using all the possibilities and technologies on energy efficiency presented here at the fair, could theoretically save up to 50 % in energy. In view of rising energy prices this issue is going to be increasingly significant for the competitiveness of our companies", the Vice Minister emphasized.
