MUNICH "As usual at this time of year, the decline in unemployment figures in Bavaria is taking a short breather in August for seasonal and vacation-related reasons. The positive trend is still in tact though. The figure for June of 4.52 million employees liable to social security contributions is a new record. With an unemployment rate of only 3.9 percent, Bavaria is performing better than any of the other states in Germany. Unemployment will fall again in the autumn. Our proactive economic policy is paying off in all parts of the State. Bavaria is heading for full employment", commented Emilia Müller, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs, referring to the latest labor market figures from Nuremberg.
