Low Debt, High Employment
Bavaria's GDP represents about 18% of the total for all of Germany and for several decades Bavaria has had Germany's lowest public sector debt and its highest rate of employment. The unemployment rate in Bavaria today is 5.8% compared to about 9.6% for all of Germany. This economic performance has direct societal ramifications: Bavaria has Germany’s lowest rate of crimes against person and property. |
