Industry Networks
Bavaria has established an excellent network of research, industry and service providers. This network includes Galileo Industries Headquartered in Munich, some 50 specialized enterprises, the German Aerospace Center, Munich Technical University, University of Erlangen, chairs at the other universities of the State and Federal Armed Forces, as well as many innovative service providers. The Bavarian State Government played a special part in supporting the build-up of networks between industry and science, for research and development activities in communications, navigation and geo-information as well as setting up a satellite navigation user center in Oberpfaffenhofen in the immediate vicinity of the German Aerospace Center.
